Giraffe5434 launched a new Minecraft server, we’re starting from scratch, drop in and say hello. We’re currently accepting permanent settlers so this server is open to the public until further notice, woohoo!!

Vandalism was discovered in our Mall earlier today, I did pull some footage off the Mall Security Cameras, if you have seen the Enderman in the still frame below, please contact Mall Security immediately, he is wanted for questioning.

After just 1 day the mall had 14 of 16 suites rented so tonight I added a 3rd floor. Now mall capacity is at 24, good thing Giraffe built such a high ceiling!!

New Mall, Claim Your Suite!

Tonight a mall was born! Created by EvoOni and Giraffe5434 with help from loldudeman and Cole0. The mall is 2 levels with room to expand to a third if needed. Each level has 8 suites, the mall has 16 suites total, each suite has a wood floor and has open space editable dimensions of 7W x 7L x 4H. To claim your suite, contact an admin.

ADMINS, to place a suite in players name type the following command:
/regios set-owner s110 USER
This means Suite 110 will now belong to USER. You can test by simply walking into suite and reading the welcome message that appears on your screen. All suites belong to EvoOni until changed. Each player can have 1 suite, if we run out of suites we’ll expand the mall. Please DO NOT modify any part of the mall that isn’t included in your suite and DO NOT modify any blocks shared with other suites. For example, the lower suites can replace their floors but the upper suites cannot because they would be modifying the lower suite’s ceiling. All walls are shared so if you want your own wall material, built it out in front of the wall of your suite. Check out existing suites for ideas, my suite is open concept, low product count. Giraffe’s suite is created to optimize the space for max product presentation. OK, I’m tired, bedtime.. enjoy the mall!

Allocating More Memory To Java
WARNING: Only do this if you have at least 4 GB of RAM and a 64-bit Operating System!

This will allow you to run higher resolution texture packs (128, 256) without crashing. On a 128 x 128 pack I used to crash three times an hour, since this fix I haven’t crashed in days

First, make sure to download and install the x64 version of Java:
http://jdk7.java.net/download.html

Step 1.
Open CONTROL PANEL.

Step 2.
Type ‘Java’ inside the ‘Search Control Panel’ box.

Step 3.
Click the Java icon that pops up.

Step 4.
Click the Java tab.

Step 5.
Click View…

Step 6.
Assure there is only ONE line in here, any more lines could cause issues. If you have more than one line, delete the older or slower version.

Step 7.
In the Runtime Parameters box paste:
-Xincgc -Xmx2048M

Step 8.
Hit ENTER and click OK.

Step 9.
Prosper!!

How to Create a Chest Shop

How to create a ChestShop?

- Place a chest, if you haven’t already.

- Place a sign 1 block near the chest (for example, above the chest)

- On the sign, write:

First line will be filled in with your name automatically, leave blank.

Second line is the quantity you want the shop to use. (Example: 64)
Third line, (Price) is a combination of buy and sell price. (Example: 10 : 5)
If you only want to BUY, just put the price for your quantity (Example: 10)
If you only want to SELL, type B colon sell price (Example: B : 5)

Fourth line is the item ID or item name.
For example:

means that AcrobotPL wants to sell 64 diamonds for 10 dollars, and buy them back from you for 5 dollars.

Also, if you put “free” instead of price, it is free to buy or sell

New Version, New World, New Plugins Oh My!

Here’s a teaser of the new town we’re building for our next world launching, as you can see the mob arena imported successfuly! Timmytjoe and I got just about all the plugins working harmoniously with an iffy Bukkit release. One exciting bit of news is we replaced TradeCraft with iConomy so players can create their own shops with their own pricing! You also won’t need to store gold anymore, your money is with you always. Check your balance anytime by typing /money. We should be ready to launch by the weekend, fingers crossed!! For now, keep enjoying the temporary world (107.10.71.179:25564) but remember that’s only temporary.

Welcome to version 1.8!!

Connect to our new world running version 1.8, for now the world is reset until we get all the plugins sorted out for v1.8. Progress you make in this new world may be lost, we have to do some testing before we will know for sure.

PLEASE NOTE: if you were using a texture pack with v1.7, it will not work with the updated v1.8. There aren’t a lot of texture packs available for 1.8 yet, but this pack looks awesome:

Step 1) Download, Run and Patch the texture pack patcher for v1.8

Step 2) Download Texture Pack and place ZIP in your texturepacks folder.
Example: C:\Users\COMPUTER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\texturepacks
